This video update is a couple days old. I got busy with other things and forgot about it. It shows the scenery between Osmaniye and Gaziantep.

Moments later they pulled one of the kids down onto the floor and started falling over him. It was a madhouse in there, but in a good way.

Today Melih joined me for the walk, setting a personal record of 30 kilometers walked in one day. Congratulations Melih, nice job! I was impressed big time!

I don’t have my pack with me because I had left it in Mersin. For most of the trip across the Cukurova plain (Silifke, Mersin, Adana, Osmaniye) I’ll be basing out of someone’s house, and commuting to work each day via minibus.

I had to backtrack a bit to resume the walk at Silifke, so I took a bus from Mersin to Silifke.

In this video I say I’m walking out of Mut, but I mean I’m walking out of Karaman. I’ve got Mut on the brain this morning — Mut is the next town up the road, three or four days from now. All day I’ve been saying Mut when I mean Karaman.

This is an old video of me rehabbing my right foot back in September. I basically camped out in this park and, for three days straight, did nothing but walk around the park working my foot back into shape (I took this video on the second day).
When I walked into the village I was limping and could barely carry my pack. It took me the rest of the month to work my foot back into full shape, but after three or four days in this village I was able to continue walking.
The park was in Horsunlu, one of my favorite villages on the walk so far. The family across the street adopted me like I was some sort of lost puppy, feeding and watering me the days I was there, and watching over some stuff I left behind to lighten my pack load.
Plus, while I was in Horsunlu, I got to ride around on that coal delivery truck, and that was fun.
